As I prepare to post my review, I thought I would share a couple photos. I love how my original TCL-x100 Teleconverter looks on my new x100F. I had originally purchased it with my black x100S, but I think I actually like this look better. I’ve now owned every x100 and the love affair just keeps growing with this camera.
This past July my daughter and I decided on a whim to take a trip to Tokyo for a few days. She was out of school for the summer and it was perfect for some quality father daughter time. It’s been two years since our last trip. Scary how fast time goes by. On my last trip to Tokyo I had just bought the x100T and was testing it out.

I took this from a park off of Jagaru road overlooking Chatan. I've shot this same image (minus) the fireworks before and it came out nice and sharp, but this time it's not as sharp. Could have been the humidity as it was crazy hot. So while I couldn't make a large print of it, it's still not bad at smaller sizes and on the web. Hope everyone has a great 4th of July.

I'm returning to film after over a decade of shooting all digital. I'm not going all film as I still think digital has it's place in photography, but for the first time in a long time I'm accepting the fact that while the film process is much slower and seemingly inefficient compared to digital it's still a large part of the art of photography.

I haven't purchased a camera yet as I'm still debating on which one I'll buy and I need to get myself back up to speed before I start spending money. In the meantime a coworker of mine who is heavy into film and has many cameras loaned me one of his to play with, a Bronica Zanza medium format.

I have a new portrait project I'm starting and I'm considering shooting with both film and digital so stay tuned for more.
Since my return to Okinawa in the spring of 2010 I have vowed to take more photos and see more of this beautiful island than I did last time around in the 80's and early 90's. Okinawa Journal post will help me document and share where I've been and what I've seen.

Adorama recently released the Flashpoint 180 Monolight for a very affordable price of $199.00. This price includes the battery pack! Inexpensive portable (battery powered) lighting has been one of the remaining holy grails of photography, so while skeptical I was excited to get my hands on one of these and try it out. Had another shoot this past Sunday at Enve Model Management to photograph their newest model Lorena. Lorena was a pleasure to work with and did really well for her first photo shoot. Also got to see the life-size banner with one of the group shots I took last year.
