In 2015 with the release of iOS 9 Apple also released a new app called "News". As the name implies its a news aggregator for reading news on your iPhone or iPad running iOS 9 or newer. News is a far better user experience compared to standard web pages with their ever increasing pop ups and animated ads that are clearly more focused on the ads than the content.
Adobe just released an update to Lightroom Mobile enabling full resolution output and added some 3D Touch features. The ability to export out full resolution files finally allows photographers to work independently of a Mac or PC. Before you could edit your photos but you could only export out up to 2048 pixels on the longest side, and then you had to then switch over to a Mac or PC to export out the high resolution files. To say it was a pain would be an understatement for sure.
Good morning everyone. I hope your Saturday is starting off great. I'm still working through the mountain of photos from mine and my daughter's Tokyo trip last weekend, and will be posting more of those photos soon. In the meantime here's some photo app news.
Like many photographers I shoot my fair share of photos with my iPhone but to get the black and white look that I like in the past I've always had to post process the image in Snapseed or other editing app. While I do love Snapseed it is an extra step and MPro seems to have solved this for me. MPro is a monochrome photo app that shoots only in black and white. In fact it saves in greyscale rather than RGB which results in a different black and white look that I like. In addition to that it has an onscreen contrast slider to add contrast to the image with real time feedback on the screen before you even take the shot. Sweet! Right? Oh and it's only 99 cents. Here's the link to the app on the iTunes store.
