Everyday Okinawa with the Fuji TCLx100

One of the things I miss most about living and working in the city is not being able to take the train, and having to drive everywhere. I love cars, but as a photographer I am always seeing photos when I'm driving. I keep my camera within easy reach, usually in my bag, but it can be difficult, and dangerous trying to shoot and drive. Most of the time the only shots I can get are while waiting at an intersection, although occasionally I can grab a shot or two one handed from the window. The other day while waiting for the weather to decide what it wanted to do, I was driving around debating where/what I wanted to shoot. Okinawa can resemble a sleepy little town sometimes, depending on where you are, but even after living here for many years I'm still fascinated by pretty much everything around me. Below are a few from what I call "Everyday Okinawa".

I love how the car salesman below is trying to sell the car from the brochure. Maybe he just started. 😊

Japanese choose the strangest names for businesses sometimes. Not sure the word "herb" was the best choice here. 😊

Then there was rain... πŸ˜”Β

The only thing I like about rain is how it makes everything look different, especially at night for photos.
