Another year, another new cable, but this one may ultimately help with the cable mess rather than adding to it. Visually similar to Apple's Lightning cable we use with out current generation iPhones and iPads, but similar in function to Thunderbolt, the new USB-C does double duty handling not only USB, but video, enough for 4k, and power as well. A few years from now we may finally have one cable for all our devices, hard drives, external monitors, smartphones, tables and cameras. Read more in PDNOnline's story below.
