Kendo: The Spirit of the Sword.
Kendo means “the way of the sword”.

It is derived from ken (sword) and do (way, or the way of). For many Westerners, swords are synonymous with war and death. But for Japanese, the sword epitomizes purity, honour, discipline and spirit - and instrument not only of death, but of life as well.
