Okinawa is known for beautiful beaches and ocean views. I took this photo of Araha, Beach in Chatan, Okinawa with my iPhone 6s Plus. In the distance you can see the Ferris wheel from American Village. Thanks for stopping by today.
Photo of the Day - Festival Food Vendors
A food vendor at a local festival cooks Takoyaki (dumplings with a chunk of octopus inside). This shot was taken with my Fuji X-Pro1 and the 56mm f/1.2 (85mm equivalent), an awesome low light lens.
My 1st YouTube Video
Well, not my very first but my first one since I decided to get serious about running a ShootLighter YouTube channel. :) It's just an Unboxing video but it's a start right? Please check it out and let me know what you think. I recorded its with my iPhone 6s Plus, and edited it in iMovie on my iPad Pro. Also, please subscribe if you want to see more of these. Thanks for stopping by today.
Photo of the Day - City Beaches
Today's photo was taken with my iPhone 6s Plus at Naminoue Beach in Naha, Okinawa. It's strange to me to see a beach right in the city with a highway running over it. Thanks for stopping by today.
Photo of the Day - Shintoshin, Naha
Today's photo was taken with my iPhone 6s Plus while walking around in one of my favorite areas in Okinawa, Omoromachi, or Shintoshin as most refer to it.
Photo of the Day - Kimonos in Naha
Young people posing in their Kimonos celebrating Seijin no Hi, Coming of Age Day. Taken with my Fuji x100s. Have a great day everyone.

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year everyone from Okinawa, Japan. 2016 is going to be a great year, and I have big plans and goals for ShootLighter.com. First and foremost I'm going to shift my focus on ShootLighter.com to mainly mobile photography and video. I still love my Fuji x-series cameras, but in the past couple years I have found myself using my iPhone more and more for photography other than day to day snapshots. The potential in mobile photography is off the charts, and I love the challenge of creating amazing photos and videos with something that fits in my pocket.
